I received this ARC of Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater from Scholastic through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Sinner is the fourth novel in The Wolves of Mercy Falls series, yet it’s unlike the other three. It could be because Sinner wasn't supposed to exist, and was written much later. It is the story of Cole and Isabel, the couple that wasn't really a couple before, but that I wished were. When I heard that Sinner would be solely based on Cole and Isabel, I was really looking forward to reading it.
Isabel and Cole…What can I say about Isabel and Cole. They are disastrous apart but oh so right together. They are both complicated characters but that’s the appeal. Stiefvater’s writing, like always, amazing. The only drawback was that it was a little slow paced. I really like that the story went full circle. It started with a scene where Cole is being interviewed by a radio station and is stuck in traffic, and it ended in a similar scene. Those two scenes were great, especially how the last one ended. You just have to read it to get it. I don’t want to give anything away. A must read.
I give Sinner 4 out of 5 stars.
