“To err is human; to forgive, divine.” – Alexander Pope
I don’t know what it is but I love this quote. It sums Tangled pretty well.
At first the narrating, Drew telling his story and stopping to tell the reader to pay attention or to remember this moment was off but as the story progressed it gave the book a distant characteristic that was unique. It also had an illustration that stood out because I haven’t seen it used like this before.
The lines from Drew were hilarious and I found myself laughing out loud through the book. I have to say that I kept thinking what an idiot Drew was being and he made some major mistakes but he owned up and completely won me over. I liked that their relationship didn't lead straight to sex after their first meeting; instead it progressed at a slower pace but not too slow. Kate is a strong character and I wanted to dislike her because she was being stubborn but then I realized that she had reasons to be cautious.
The sex scenes were great, steamy, and I was surprised that there weren't more. Regardless, I really enjoyed reading Tangled and will look for the next in the series.
Tangled by Emma Chase is about a man who is used to the single life until he meets the one woman who turns his life upside down.
