Wait For You by J. Lynn is about a college freshman who is suffering from a past event that took place five years before. Her life has been filled with helplessness until she meets a guy who changes how she feels.
I found myself torn whether I liked the main female character, Avery. She was very frustrating with her decisions toward the male character Cam. Cam on the other hand was not afraid to say what he thought; he was sweet and patient, not to mention extremely good looking. Cam seems to be the perfect guy with how he treated Avery, but maybe a little too perfect.
I liked how the author developed Cam and Avery’s relationship, with a slow buildup. She didn't just throw them together on a one night stand like some of the other romance novels I've read in the past. Not that I hate when that happens but it was a nice change.
Cam’s big secret was hinted at subtly but it wasn't fully developed. Maybe I’m just being picky but it came and was gone so fast. I also thought the ending was a little rushed. Regardless of these few flaws I was still entertained enough to not want to put it down.
