Too Hot to Handle by Katie Rose: Advanced Reading Copy

I received this ARC of Too Hot to Handle by Katie Rose from Random House Publishing Group-Loveswept through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Nikki Case gets assigned to work as a PR for a baseball team and clean up their image. She is met with resistance at every corner except from star hitter Jake Baldwin. Jake’s intentions with Nikki are dishonest in the beginning but change with time. As they get to know each other, the definition of their relationship starts changing for both of them.

This is the first novel I read from this author. This novel is the second in The Boys of Summer series but I don’t think it’s necessary to read the first before this one, it can be read as a standalone.

I really liked Jake and Nikki’s characters and the road they took in reaching the level of affection they felt for each other. I liked how the author made their chemistry effortless. I did find the story line a little predictable, but I still thought it was a good read.

I give Too Hot to Handle 3 out of 5 stars.
