Had an awesome time at this event with such an amazing group! AID Telethon 2015 helps raise much needed funds thanks to our hosts, sponsors, donors and volunteers!
Hundreds of volunteers and donors helped AID raise funds for programs and services benefiting over 5,000 children and adults with disabilities, mental illness and special needs. AID has provided services in the Fox Valley area for 54 years and is truly blessed to have made so many friends and partnered with so many supporters along the way! I wanted to share information about an event that I will be taking part in. I will be performing a Zumba routine with a group of people at this event. Please consider raising awareness for this cause.
RunFurShelter 2014I came by this community event through an unexpected source, my Zumba instructor Linda Santiago from LAFitness. We are performing some of the songs in our class at this event from 8:35am-9:15am. Check out the information below and click on the picture for more information. Get involved! RunFurShelter has partnered up with the Salvation Army Golden Diners Program. The Golden Diners program feeds over 800 senior citizens in the Kane and McHenry counties. These meals are prepared daily, Monday through Friday at the Hemmens Auditorium in downtown Elgin, IL year round. It was through this meal program that a need was identified regarding our senior citizens and their difficulty with the costs of feeding their pets. After discussion with RunFurShelter, the decision to partner with the Salvation Army Golden Diners club was made in an effort to fill that financial need. All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase pet food to be turned over to this great cause. It is our hope to raise more than is needed to feed all their pets and to also have enough funds to defray veterinarian costs. |
