Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters: Advanced Reading Copy

I received this ARC of Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters from Patchwork Press through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Pepper Winters novel might not be suitable for people who are sensitive to non-traditional situations.

Tess Snow was content with her life, ready to finish her degree and happy with her current boyfriend. On a trip to Mexico she finds herself faced with a world few know. She is kidnapped and sold. She knows she needs to stay strong, but will she be at the hands of her new owner.

Even though the content was slightly disturbing, I couldn’t stop reading it. I thought Winters created two characters that as a reader I wanted to explore. The plot was somewhat predictable and the writing didn’t astound me, but it kept me reading.

I give Tears of Tess 3 out of 5 stars.
